9 Systematic Literature Review

Systematic literature reviews are common in life-sciences, particularly in medical sciences. The procedure of meta-analysis attempts to analyse data combined from a number of studies statistically, and to identify, appraise and synthesise available evidence.  Three steps are said to be important in a systematic literature review: selection of the available sources, analysis of the sources and reporting the identified patterns.
