Let it be
Sit quietly and effortlessly. Be relaxed but attentive. Keep your back straight. As you breathe in and out, relax the different parts of your body.
Close your eyes. Be aware that you are in the presence of God, the greater power who is in control.
Be aware of the fact that you are breathing.
For a few minutes become aware of the sound and noise around you. Just say, “let it be.” There were there before you began to listen to them, so let them be.
Keep paying attention to your breathing. Feel the cold air that touches your nostril as it enters and the warm air that leaves your nostril.
Every time you become aware that your mind had wandered, just say, “let it be.” Whatever your mind is concerned with, let them be.
From time to time become aware of your feelings? How do you feel? To your feelings say, let them be.
End by thanking God for the serenity you enjoy in just saying, ‘let it be.”
