Sahaya G. Selvam is currently the Programmes Coordinator (since 2020) at Don Bosco Youth Educational Services, and is a Research Associate at Marist International University College, Nairobi. Previously, he was the Deputy Vice-Chancellor – Designate (2017-2020) of Tangaza University College, and the Graduate Programmes Coordinator (2012-2017) at the Institute of Youth Studies, Tangaza University College, Catholic University of Eastern Africa.
He holds a PhD degree in Psychology of Religion (2009-2012) and MA in Psychology of Religion (2008-2009) from Heythrop College, University of London, UK. He has also completed other academic degrees and professional trainings.
He is a Catholic priest and a member of the religious order of the Salesians of Don Bosco. He has been serving in East Africa since 1992. He has trained thousands of priests, religious and youth leaders in skills for youth ministry. He has also published three training manuals for youth ministers, and other books on spirituality. He has contributed to several peer-reviewed academic journals.
